Margaret Mcarthur

Margaret Evelyn Eubanks McArthur, 97, of Glenn Springs, SC died Thursday, February 23, 2017, at RoseCrest-Inman. Born August 5, 1919, in Glenn Springs, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Thomas Eubanks and Irene Smith Eubanks and widow of William Earl McArthur. A graduate of Pauline High School, Mrs. McArthur was a member of Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church, the Sunshine Sunday School Class, and the Senior Citizens Group. She retired from Raycord and Dixie Shirt Company, was an avid gardener, and enjoyed traveling with the Senior Citizens Group. Survivors include her son, Michael Earl McArthur (Lynn) of Spartanburg; daughter, Cynthia McArthur West (Michael) of Glenn Springs; grandchildren, Amy Martin (Shane) of Glenn Springs, Kelly Thomas of Spartanburg, and Clay and Tyler West, also of Glenn Springs; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Aiden Martin and Lauren McArthur Thomas, all of Glenn Springs. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Iris Eubanks Charles; and brother, Charlie Eubanks. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 25, 2017, in Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 6001 Hwy 215, Pauline, SC 29374, by the Rev. Dr. B. E. Pettit. Visitation will follow in the Glenn Springs Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church Building Fund, PO Box 279, Pauline, SC 29374.
