Margaret Hodge

Margaret Lorena Allen Hodge, 91, a resident of Golden Age Nursing Home, Inman, SC, died Monday, December 26, 2016. Mrs. Hodge was born September 28, 1925, in Pacolet Mills and was a lifelong resident of Pacolet. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Rosa Kirby Allen, the last surviving member of her immediate family, and a member of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Hodge; four sisters, May Allen, Marie Allen, Lena Odell Allen Seay, and Thelma Louise Allen White; five brothers, Jessie Doyle Allen, Johnnie Davis Allen, Lawrence Jefferson Allen, James Edward Allen, and Clyde Lee Allen; and granddaughter, Jill Marie Hodge. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Hodge (Jenny) of Spartanburg, SC and Jim Hodge (Judy) of Greer, SC; four grandchildren, Jessica Hodge and Jeremy Hodge of Charleston, SC, Steven Hodge (Carrie) and Kevin Hodge (Lisa) of Greer, SC; and four great-grandchildren, Caleb James Hodge, Chelsea Ann Hodge, Ellis Grace Hodge, and Steven Christopher Hodge, Jr. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 29, 2016, in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372, by the Rev. Norman L. Band. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service. Memorials may be made to Pacolet Mills Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 660, Pacolet Mills, SC 29373.
