Margaret Fussell

Margaret Kicklighter Fussell, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 1, 1931, in Glennville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Ollie Bird Kicklighter. Mrs. Fussell, a former teacher at Benton High School in Athens, GA, was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Faith Circle and New Revelation Sunday School Class. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Thomas F. Fussell; son, Thomas F. Fussell Jr. of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Katy F. Smith (Rodney) of Boiling Springs, SC and Molly F. Johnson (John Smith) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Josh Smith (Deanna Simmons) and Caroline Smith; sisters, Melba Downs (Harry) of Conyers, GA, Jo Garrett (Fred) of Dothan, AL and Maxine Davis of Athens, GA; guardian angels, David and Harriet Ike and special friends, Homer and Louise Butler. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Elbert Kicklighter, Gwen Kennedy, and Sonny Kicklighter. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 309 Fernwood Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Dale Rawlings. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, P. O.
