Margaret Ann Dearybury Fowler, 77, of Cowpens, SC passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Cherokee Medical Center. She was born in Spartanburg, SC on January 8, 1945, to the late James Roland and Mary Edna Johnson Dearybury.
Margaret was retired from Broome High School where she worked in the school cafeteria for 10 years.
A member of White Plains Baptist Church for many years, Margaret never met a stranger. She was a very caring, loving, and funny person with a contagious laugh that could light up a room. Margaret was a caretaker to everyone, especially her daughters and grandchildren. They truly meant the world to her, and she meant the world to them.
Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth F. Crow (John Baker) of Gaffney, SC and Crystal Marcum (Kevin) of Woodruff, SC; grandchildren, Annabelle Grace Saar of Boiling Springs, SC, Baylee Gray Saar of Boiling Springs, SC, MacKenzie Brook Marcum of Charleston, SC, and Jacob Tyler Marcum of Woodruff, SC; and her special friend, Judy Weathers of Gaffney, SC.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023, in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery Street, Cowpens, SC 29330, conducted by The Rev. Michael Boyter and The Rev. Dr. Bob Finley. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
