Margaret Conlon

Margaret Minock Conlon, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born October 4, 1936 in East St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of the late Edmond Minock and Helen Shymkus Minock.

Margaret was a longtime volunteer at Gibbs Cancer Center. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. She loved being with her family and doting on her grandchildren. Margaret loved the beach and reading and was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, John Raymond Conlon; sons, Mark Edmond Conlon (Michele) of Raleigh, NC, and Kevin John Conlon (Virginia) of Charleston, SC; daughter, Susi Margaret Conlon of London, England, and grandchildren, Alexa, Kyle, and Maggie.

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Chapel by Deacon Robert L. Mahaffey Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gibbs Cancer Center SRHS Foundation, 101 East Wood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
