Margaret Atkins

Margaret Lipsey Atkins, 89, wife of the late John Carson Atkins, died November 15, 2021, at Brookview Healthcare Center in Gaffney, SC. Born in Union, SC, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Ruby Bledsoe Lipsey.

Mrs. Atkins was of the Baptist faith and loved her family and took great joy in spending time with her great-granddaughters.

Mrs. Atkins is survived by daughter, Patsy Black (Tab) of Rockingham, NC; son, Wayne Atkins (Donna) of Gaffney, SC; granddaughter, Tina Rhineberger (Jeff) of Spartanburg, SC; two great-granddaughters, Karsyn Sprouse and Carolina Rhineberger;  a brother, Kent Lipsey of Wisconsin.  She was pre-deceased by brothers, Grady “Pug” Lipsey and Eldridge Lipsey and a sister, Wilma Melton.

Private graveside services will be conducted by Rev. David Chastain.
