Margaret Allison

Margaret Jeanette Sellars Allison, 104, of Pacolet, SC died Monday, January 18, 2021 at her home. Born October 13, 1916 in Spartanburg County, SC she was the daughter of the late Dudley Albert and Olema Daniel Sellars and wife of the late Robert A. Allison. She was the last surviving member of her family. A charter member of Tate Memorial Baptist Church since August 14, 1960, Mrs. Allison was a retired teacher in Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union counties. She loved her church, family, flowers, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her sisters. Survivors include her son, Wayne Allison (Terrie) of Jonesville, SC; daughter-in-law, Sharon Allison of Spartanburg, SC; grandsons, Shane Allison (Ashley) and Steven Allison; great-grandchildren, Shyanne Allison, Saylor Allison, and Sebastian Allison; step-grandchildren, Kevin Haydock, and Michael Brewington, step-great-grandchildren, Victoria Romero, Noah Haydock and Jordan Haydock. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Dennis Allison; sisters, Wilma Thornton, Flossie Clark, Julia Sutton, Catherine Phillips, Florine Byars, Sara Frazar and Elizabeth Dennis, and brothers, Edward Sellars, Clifford Sellars, Keith Sellars, and Danny Sellars. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372, conducted by The Rev. Dennis Tessnier and The Rev. Dillon Styles. Visitation will follow at the graveside. The family requests attendees to wear masks and practice social distancing.
