Marcia Willard

Marcia Elaine Parris Willard, 75, of Chesnee, SC, died Thursday, June 20, 2019, at her home. Born February 16, 1944, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Leland "Lee" W. Parris and Ruth Roper Parris. Mrs. Willard was a member of United Baptist Church and loved taking care of her grandchildren. Marcia was affectionately known as "Nannie" by her family. Her superb cooking, sense of humor and love of music will ensure her legacy lives on with her family. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Tommy E. Willard; children, Timothy Lee Willard (Robin) of Boiling Springs and Angela Lynn Dewart (Jay) of Spartanburg, SC; three grandchildren, Bailey Dewart, Cole Willard (Makota) and Ashlen Dewart, brother, Richard Parris of Savannah, GA and her grand dogs, Beau and Luke. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by The Rev. Robert Emory and The Rev. Robert Carnell. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, PO Box 430, Drayton, SC 29333.
