Marceline Varner

Marceline Louise Finley Varner, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills-Landrum, SC. Born August 20, 1934, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Cora Mae Finley and widow of William Ben Varner. She was a member of Fairview Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, John Thomas Finley (Rhonda) of Spartanburg, SC; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Finley of Spartanburg, SC; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and cousin, Patricia Perry of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to her mother and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Terry Wayne Finley; and daughter, Janet McLean. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, by the Rev. Kenneth Cash. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
