Betty Jean Sanders Cromer "Mama Jean", 78, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at her home. Born September 29, 1932, in Caroleen, NC, she was the daughter of the late Copher Sanders, Sr. and Eva Beatrice Cothran Sanders and wife of the late Calvin Newton Cromer. Mrs. Cromer was a homemaker, owner of Jean's Lawn Service, and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include three sons, Brian "Bud", Mark, and Chip Cromer; three brothers, Manuel, her twin brother Joe, and Cary Sanders; a sister, Mildred Elledge; a granddaughter, Katie Cromer; and loving sister and brother-in-law's. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Pettit and Louella Alverson. Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 PM Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kirk H. Neely. Memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, P. O. Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
