Mae Tennyson

Annie Mae Petrie Tennyson, 78, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, January 23, 2015, at RoseCrest. Born February 11, 1936, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Russell Edwin Petrie and Maggie Mae Grant Petrie, and the widow of Boyce Ray Tennyson. Mrs. Tennyson was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and was retired from CWS Insurance. Survivors include her children, Shelby T. Arrington of Inman, Joe Tennyson of Chesnee, SC, and Rhonda T. Norris (Byrd) of Greenville, SC; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond C. Petrie of Whitestone, SC; and her baby dog, "Brandi". In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Aline P. O'Bryant; and daughter-in-law, Susan Lynn Hall Tennyson. Visitation will be 2:30-3:45 PM Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Gerald Burnett. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
