Mable Fowler

Mable Edge Fowler, 100, of Pacolet, died Thursday, September 10, 2009, at White Oak Manor of Spartanburg. Born August 16, 1909, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Perry Arthur and Lala Powers Edge and the wife of the late Henry Walker Fowler. She was retired from Beaumont Mill and was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Clara Mae Blackwell and Mildred Penland; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sons, Lamont Fowler, Walker Fowler, and Harold Eugene Fowler; a sister, Ruth Cox; and a brother, Grady Edge. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009, at Pacolet Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Tom Sawyer. Mrs. Fowler will be available for viewing from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2009, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel.
