Mabel Cannon

Mabel White Cannon, 86, of 125 Riverview Road, went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Born August 8, 1923+ in Rutherford County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Martin and Eva Sue Hyder White and the wife of the late Paul Frederick Cannon, Sr. After retiring from Inman Mills, she was a child care provider in her home for ten years, and was a member of Sonrise Baptist Church. Survivors include sons, Paul F. Cannon, Jr. and Walter Scott Cannon, and daughters, Linda Norton and husband L. W. and Carol Jonas, all of Chesnee; a brother, Robert White of Shelby, NC; eight grandchildren, Kim Hayes, Tim and Marty Jonas, Angie Tucker, Cassie McDaniel, Sherry Ezell, Chad and Kyle Cannon; three step-grandsons, Kevin, Roddy, and Chris Fletcher; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Nell Daughty and Eleanor Schutt, and brother, Paul White. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David Moore and the Rev. Daryl Tolleson. The family will receive friends following the service at the Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at their respective homes.
