Mary Lynn Smith, 48, of Pauline, SC, died Monday, February 9, 2015. Born May 22, 1966, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jack Sullivan Smith, Sr. and Sara Caldwell Smith. A 1984 graduate of Dorman High School and 2000 graduate of Greenville Technical College, Lynn was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. She was a registered nurse employed with Gaffney Medical Center and formerly employed at Spartanburg Medical Center, Pelham Medical Center and Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Surviving are her son, LCpl Dylan Simpson, U. S. Marine of Camp Pendleton, CA; sisters, Tonya Smith and Yvonne Waldrop (Bobby), all of Pauline, SC; brother, David Harold Hanna, Sr. (Mary Ann) of Moore, SC; step-brothers, Jack Sullivan Smith, Jr. (Carol) and James Willis Smith (Vicky), all of Pauline, SC; step-sister, Elizabeth Cox (Richard) of Pauline, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, February 13, 2015, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 3119 Hwy 56, Pauline, SC 29374, by the Rev. Joe Dempsey. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
