Lynn Cromer

Lynn Wiehrs Cromer was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, March 10, 2023. Services will be held at First Baptist North Spartanburg, 8740 Asheville Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29316 on Monday, March 13, 2023, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Michael Hamlet. Visitation will be from 11:30 – 12:30, with the service following at 1:00 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Lynn was the daughter of the late Peter A. Wiehrs and Eula Mae Dennis Wiehrs. She is survived by her husband, Christopher W. Cromer, sister-in-law, Carolyn C. Allen, brother-in-law, Steve Cromer (Madonna), a maternal uncle, Boyd Hendrix and aunts, Martha Bowers and Fronnie Chaney, numerous maternal first cousins, her life-long friends and caregivers during her illness, Phyllis Creech, Wanda Cromer, Sharon Jones, Patches Lamartina and her son, Azariah, step-sons, Mark Cromer (Holly) and Robert Cromer (Jessica) and grandchildren, George, Hannah and Caleb.

She was an active member of First Baptist North Spartanburg for over 30 years where she taught adult Sunday School classes and sang in the choir. Lynn was a graduate of Columbia College with a Bachelors Degree and the University of South Carolina with a Masters Degree in Education. She was a Special Educator for thirty-six years, serving the last thirty-one in Spartanburg County school districts. Upon her retirement she served as a volunteer and then staff member at Hope Remains Ranch. When she retired as staff, she served on Hope Remains board of directors and as a mentor. She loved teaching but her heart’s investment was to the ministry of Hope Remains Ranch. Her greatest joys were studying the Bible, helping people, especially teens, animals and outdoor activities.

The family will be at their respective homes.
