Lynn Garey Cauthan, 66, died, Sunday, September 21, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born January 9, 1948 in Tifton, GA, he was the son of the late Grady Gordon Cauthan and Doris Nadine Snellgrove Cauthan. Mr. Cauthan was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Michelin Tire after 20 years of service, formerly employed with Arrow Steel for 12 years and was a member of Roebuck Baptist Church. He was totally devoted to his Lord and Savior, his precious soul mate and best friend, Beth and loved all his family and friends. Surviving is his beloved wife of over 40 years, Beth Patrick Cauthan; daughter, Tara C. Nance (Hugh) of Jacksonville, FL; son, Sean P. Cauthan (Lesley) of Yukon, OK; grandchildren, Kyle C. Nance, Madison Cauthan, Claire Cauthan, Kala Nance, Hope Nance, Max Cauthan and Emma Lynn Nance; sister, Linda Ebert (Roy) of Round O, SC; brothers, Jerry Cauthan of Round O, SC and Hall Cauthan (Joyce) of Cross, SC. Visitation will be held 9:30 to 10:45 AM Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Roebuck Baptist Church, 1979 East Blackstock Road, Roebuck, SC 29376, with services following at 11:00 AM conducted by Rev. Dr. Tim Williams and Rev. Dr. Rudy Gray. Graveside services with Military Rites will be held 5:00 PM at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414, conducted by Rev. Dr. Robert Ball. Pallbearers are Sean Cauthan, Hal Cauthan, Jerry Cauthan, Kyle Nance, Hugh Nance, and Roy Peeler. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Cancer Association of Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties, PO Box 1582, Spartanburg, SC 29304 or Roebuck Baptist Church Youth Fund, PO Box 490, Roebuck, SC 29376.
