Lynda Bryan Winburn Robinson, 83, of Spartanburg, SC, died on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home surrounded by loved ones. Born December 2, 1932, in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Howard Powell and Lynda Bryan Winburn and wife of the late Clarence Delmar Robinson Jr. Lynda attended Mercer College and later graduated from the University of Tampa with a degree in education. She taught at E. P. Todd Elementary School where she retired after many years of service and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed volunteering at the Spartanburg County Library gift shop and also at the Soup Kitchen. A fiercely independent person, she faced many challenges in the last several years with grace and stoicism. She was a loving and giving mother, grandmother, and friend who had a wonderful sense of humor. She also enjoyed her many travels with her dear friends Anne Jones of Orlando, FL and Evelynn Thompson of Atlanta, GA. Lynda was particularly close to her late grandmother, Lynda Lee Bryan (Gigi) from Talbotton, GA, who at one time was the oldest living journalist in the country. It was from her grandmother that she acquired her love of literature. Survivors include her daughter, Anne R. Poliakoff (Gary) of Spartanburg, SC; daughter-in-law, Barbara S. Robinson of Greenville, SC and her beloved adoring grandchildren, Austin Lee Robinson and Sean Alexander Robinson both of Greenville, SC, and Matthew Miller Poliakoff and Alexandra Lee Poliakoff both of Spartanburg, SC and nephews, Keith Michael McKerrall of Jasper, AL and David Walker McKerrall of Gulf Shores, AL. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Lee Winburn Robinson and a sister, Doris Winburn Morgan. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at First Presbyterian Church, 393 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29302, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Tom Evans, The Rev.
