Lygia Eubanks

Lygia Gene Eubanks, 79, formerly of Boiling Springs, SC, died Monday, November 18, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born May 29, 1934, in Lexington, NC, he was the son of the late Hubert Truey and Elizabeth Milstead Eubanks. A U. S. Navy veteran and graduate of Fairforest High School, Mr. Eubanks was a life member of York Rite Masonic Lodge-Lone Oak, Hejaz Shriners, and former member of Crosswinds Flying Club. He retired from Beaumont Mills and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his son, Tony Eubanks (Angie) of Roebuck, SC; granddaughters, Lauren Eubanks Moore (Justin) of Donald, SC, and Logan Eubanks of Roebuck, SC; and all the staff at Woodruff Manor. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Jean Eubanks; and sister, Margaret Robinette. Visitation will be 1:00-1:30 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM in Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC 29376, conducted by the Rev. Gary Long. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or Wounded Warrior Project-Donate, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
