Lula Laura Corey

Mrs. Lula Laura Corey (Morton), age 92, of North Charleston SC, passed away Thursday evening, April 10, 2025, at her residence. She was born January 07, 1933, in Gaffney SC, a daughter of the late Joe Roland and Pecolia Morton

Lula was proceeded in death by son Robert Corey Jr.; and survived by three sons, John Corey of Oak Harbour WA, Bryan Corey, Paul Corey; one daughter, Sandra Lane all from North Charleston SC; eight grandchildren, Linda Jean Alli of Oak Harbour WA, Sheena Marie Corey of Minot ND, Christopher and Kimberly (DIL) Corey, Johnny Lane, Randy Lane, Mark Lane, Marquita Corey, Noah Corey from North Charleston SC, she also had Twenty Three great grandchildren.

She also has 4 nephews and 2 nieces

She was a bus driver for 6 years in Danbury CT, 9 years in Spartanburg SC. She also worked at JW Aluminum and a homemaker. she enjoyed baking, reading cookbooks and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was and extraordinary mother who embodied unconditional love she has been a pillar of strength for her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren her legacy lives on in her family and grandchildren she will be highly missed and loved by many.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd Spartanburg, SC 29307.
