Lukeva West Coleman, 89, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at White Oak Estates. Born December 3, 1924, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Laura Fowler West and widow of James Adrian Coleman. Mrs. Coleman was a member of Beaver Hills Baptist Church and a choir member. A graduate of Spartanburg High School, she enjoyed her role as homemaker and was involved in the family business. Among survivors are her daughter, Sandy Earnhardt and husband Adger of Roebuck; son, Ron Coleman and wife Harriet of Monks Corner; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Hatchett and husband Jimmy of Walnut Grove; and brothers, Lloyd West, and Joseph West and wife Frances, all of Spartanburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Erin; and sisters, Lucille Lancaster and Lula Mae Hughey. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Garold Thomas. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615; or Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
