Lue Gibbs

Lue Cille Black Gibbs, 88, died Saturday, May 28, 2016. Born July 23, 1927 in Blacksburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Maude Wilson Black. She was the widow of Melvin "Razor" Gibbs, Jr. She was a member of Popular Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Gibbs (Marsha); Tommy Gibbs (Tonia); daughter, Jayne Gibbs; grandchildren, Kymberlee Gibbs; Chuckie Stevens (Amanda); T.J. Gibbs (Danielle) and Heath Gibbs; seven great grandchildren; and three caregivers: Bobbie Gowan, Pattie Eadie, and Kim Landrum. Visitation will be 10:30 - 11:45 AM at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Tim Hackett and the Rev. Phil Duke. In remembrance of Lue Cille, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Jayne Gibbs.
