Lucy Taylor

Lucy Sistare Taylor, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, June 15, 2015, at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Born March 24, 1935, in Walnut Grove, SC, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo T. and Lenora I. Sistare. She was married to the late James Thomas Taylor for 58 years and was a loyal member of River Hills Baptist Church. Surviving are her children, Vickie Chappell (Larry), Cindy Taylor, and Steve Taylor (Alicia); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Luree Daniels, Louise Jordan, Ann McMains, and Faye Chaplin. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Leon Sistare. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 18, 2015, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Kent Smith. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
