Lucy Steadman

Lucy Angeline Pearson Steadman, 93, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Valley Falls Terrace. Born May 29, 1923, in Moore, SC, she was the daughter of the late Walker Napoleon and Minnie Lee Cox Pearson and widow of Palmer Dantzler Steadman. A graduate of Woodruff High School, Mrs. Steadman was a member of Moore Church of Christ and retired from Raycord Co. Inc. after 35 years of service. Survivors include her sons, Earl Steadman (Barbara) of Moore, SC, and Tommy Steadman (Evelyn) of Orangevale, CA; daughter, Rita Smith of Greer, SC; daughter-in-law, Vanette Trotter Steadman of Moore, SC; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sons, Cecil Steadman and M. Dan Steadman; grandson, Steven Smith; brother, Oliver Pearson; and sisters, Ella Dill and Dorothy Lee. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, August 26, 2016, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Moore Church of Christ, 2798 Moore Duncan Hwy, Moore, SC 29369, by Minister Adam Richardson. Burial will be in Moore Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brandon Steadman, Dylan Greene, Jacob Greene, Qyalan Gist, Logan Richardson, and Landon Kimbrell.
