Lucy Brooks

Lucy Collins Brooks, 74, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at her home. Born June 27, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Mark Collins and Amelia Lee Collins. Lucy was retired from United Cloth and formerly employed with Lyman Printing and Finishing for over 20 years. A graduate of Fairforest High School, she was an active member of the Red Hat Society and VFW Auxiliary. Surviving is her companion, Richard A. Bartlett of the home; son, Benson Brooks of Inman, SC; stepdaughter, Pamela Twedell of Charlotte, NC; and brother, Sam Collins of Inman, SC. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters; six brothers; and stepson, Ricky A. Bartlett. Visitation will be 10:00 - 10:45 AM on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Kevin Smith. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29306.
