Lucille M. Linville, 92, of Brevard, NC, died Sunday, March 25, 2012, at The Oaks of Brevard. Born in Erwin, TN, she was the widow of Rev. Ray Linville, and daughter of the late John Henry Miller and Emma Mae Calhoun Kroener. Mrs. Linville is survived by her sons, Raymond Eugene Linville of Carnesville, GA, and John Robert Linville and wife Mary of Brevard, NC; daughter, Peggy Linville Haden of Greenville, SC; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Connie Rhea Vaughan; brother, Clifford D. Miller; sister, Bobbie Miller; daughter-in-law, Frances Rose Linville; and son-in-law, Tim E. Haden. Mrs. Linville supported her husband of 74 years, the Rev. Ray Linville, who was minister of over 19 Baptist churches. Among these were Brushy Creek, Rocky Creek, and Five Forks, in the Greenville area; Oak Grove, Westside, Poplar Springs, and Care Baptist Church, in the Spartanburg area; and Pleasant Grove in Greer, SC. She attended Mars Hill College and was a retired agent with AFLAC Insurance. She was president of numerous W.M.U. and G. A. programs at churches her husband pastored. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert Beville, Mrs. Linville's son, Evangelist John Robert Linville, and her grandson, Mr. Michael Ray Vaughan. A reception will follow from 3:00-4:00 PM at the church.
