Lucille Charles

Lucille S. Charles, 91½, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Born October 10, 1921, in Cherokee Springs, SC, she was a daughter of the late Claude Curtis and Myrtle Mae Burnett Stevens and the widow of Harry J. Charles. She was a former employee of Raycord and a longtime member of First Baptist Church North Spartanburg. Survivors include a son, Michael Charles (Carol) of Inman; a daughter, Trudy Charles Glosson (David) of Pacolet Mills, SC; three granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Bud Stevens and Larry Stevens; sisters, Lemira Page, Sarah Benton, and Judy Prince. She was predeceased by brothers, Buck Stevens, John Earl Stevens, and Joe Stevens and a sister, Janeal Buckner. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Monday, April 29, 2013, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4081 Highway 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Graveside services conducted by the Rev. Dr. Michael S. Hamlet will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Good Shepherd Memorial Park Mausoleum, 4161 Highway 9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304. The family is at the home.
