L. Thomas Wright, Jr.

L. Thomas “Tom” Wright, Jr., 75, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at his home. Born September 22, 1946 in Spartanburg County, SC he was the son of the late Loyless Thomas Wright, Sr. and Mary Roberts Wright.

A US Army Vietnam veteran, Mr. Wright was a 1972 graduate of Wofford College and was retired after 30 years of service from Bank of America as Assistant Vice President, and then five years with National Bank of South Carolina.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed backyard gardening, and loved serving in the S.C. State Guard honoring Veterans with Military Rites. He was a member of Covenant Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Brenda Kay Morrow Wright, their sons, Christopher Wright (Kristi) and Tommy Wright, all of Spartanburg, SC, granddaughter, Christina Wright of Marietta, SC, and his beloved cat, “Cooper.”

A private service will be held.
