Lovena Stevenson

Lovena Mary "Ginger" Stevenson, 86, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, November 13, 2014, at White Oak Manor. Born July 27, 1928, in Linden, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Stevenson, Sr. and Lovena MacLaren Stevenson. Miss Stevenson was an avid skier and member of the Raritan Yacht Club in Perth Amboy, NJ. She worked as an accountant for companies in New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Florida and was a member of Linden Presbyterian Church in Linden, NJ. Survivors include her nephew, The Reverend Scott Alexander Stevenson (Melissa); her niece, Laura Stevenson-Wood; and two great nieces, Mary Joy Stevenson and Kaitlyn Renee Stevenson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Alexander Stevenson, Jr. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM at Central United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery, 115 Slab Bridge Rd., Liberty, SC 29657.
