Louvenia "Lucy" Hood

Louvenia “Lucy” Emory Hood, 81, of Enoree, SC, passed away January 26, 2022 at her home. Born June 3, 1940 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late William and Rosa Lee Humphries Emory.

Louvenia was a member of Enoree First Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed her flowers and loved her family.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James Eugene Hood, Sr., her children, Norma Gossett of Cowpens, SC and James Hood, Jr. (Melody) of Enoree, SC, her grandchildren, Stephanie, Robbie, Charles, Tony and Jamie-Marie, her great grandchildren, Wyatt and Zoey, her two sisters and one brother. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be at 1:00 - 1:45 pm Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, at the chapel, conducted by Pastor Monte Guffey. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Enoree First Freewill Baptist Church, 14151 Hwy. 221, Enoree, SC 29335.
