Louvenia Seay, 86, of Inman, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born May 23, 1924, in Columbus, NC, she was the daughter of the late John Ranson and Ollie Edwards Splawn. She was first married to the late Harold B. Metcalf and then to the late Leathco C. Seay. Louvenia was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Gerald B. Metcalf and his wife Diane of Carolina Beach, NC; her daughter, JoAnn Waldrop and her husband Pete of Inman, SC; two step-daughters, Anita Gilmore and her husband Harley, and Peggy Addington and her husband Cyrus, all of Boiling Springs; grandchildren, Robbie and Jamie Metcalf, Gina Evans, Tonya Babb, Neal and Jay Gilmore, Kim Hill, Erin Gaines; seventeen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosa Shields formerly of Landrum, SC, and Virginia Ward of Marshville, NC; and two brothers, Donald Splawn of Columbus, NC, and James Splawn of Bolivia, NC. She was predeceased by her brothers, Amos, Albert, John, Charles and Richard Splawn; and a sister, Mary Willie Wolfe. Visitation will be 3:00-3:45 PM Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Rusher.
