Louise Tidmarsh Collins McIver, 94, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born May 10, 1920, in Whitmire, SC, she was the daughter of the late James D. and Minnie Blair Tidmarsh. In the 1950's and 1960's she served as director of food services for Whitmire schools and as girl's tennis and basketball coach for Whitmire High School. After relocating to Cayce in the late 1960's, she was food service supervisor at Richland Memorial Hospital and later at Baptist Hospital and Lexington Hospital. She and her husband, the late Thomas (Mack) McIver were longtime active members of Congaree Presbyterian Church. They spent much of their leisure time at their Ocean Lakes property in Surfside Beach. Since 2006, she has resided at Dillon Pointe Assisted Living in Spartanburg, SC. She is survived by her daughters, Amy Williams (Davis) of Waleska, GA, Bonnie Elrod of Spartanburg, SC, and Donna Hill (Tony) of Prosperity, SC; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for April 12, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Congaree Presbyterian Church, 1221 Lafayette Ave., Cayce, SC 29033.
