Louise Mcgaha

Louise Huskey McGaha, 92 of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, February 13, 2022 at SMC-Mary Black Campus. Born December 26, 1929 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Lily Bell Pruitt Huskey and was the wife of the late Bobby Stowe McGaha.

Louise graduated from Spartanburg High School, Class of 1947. She was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church and a member of Dorcas Sunday School class. She enjoyed gardening, loved to play softball in the Mill Leagues, and loved her family.

Survivors include her son, Drew McGaha (Beth) of Inman, SC, her daughter, Leslie Wells of Spartanburg, SC, grandchildren, Shane McGaha, Colt McGaha (Destiny), Mikayla McGaha, Katie Wells, Lexi Wells and Kirsten Wells, and great grandson, Dawson McGaha, her niece, Karen Moore, her nephew, Donnie Moore, great niece, Kisha Phipps, Lilly Croes and great nephew, Will Croes. She was also predeceased by her sister, Ruby Lee Moore and her lifelong best friend, Lilly Mae Morton.

Visitation will be 1:00 – 1:45 PM Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. John T. Lee, Miss Mikayla McGaha and Mrs. Beth McGaha. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beaumont Baptist Church, 945 Beaumont Ave., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
