Louise Rogers Maddox, 70, of 208 Harrison Acres Drive, died Friday, May 8, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born April 30, 1939, in Fairmont, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wilton and Maiomi Revis Rogers and step-mother, the late Jesse Bell Rogers. She was a member of Glassy Mountain Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, F. L. Maddox, Jr.; a daughter, Cathy Smith of Campobello and son-in-law Allen Smith; two grandchildren, Jason Nem Smith and Amy Louise Smith; two great- grandchildren, Joseph Nem Smith and Jacob Lefell Smith; a brother, David Rogers of Reidville; and three sisters, Carolyn Johnson of Moore, Ruby Fowler of Fairmont, and Bet Barnette of Greer. She was predeceased by a son, Furman Lefell (Junior) Maddox, III; and a great-granddaughter, Caylie Louise Smith. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2009, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel conducted by the Rev. Larry Barnette and the Rev. Larry W. Wilks.
