Carolyn Louise Odom Hart, 79, of Spartanburg died Monday, April 23, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born December 2, 1932, in Goldsboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Eldon S. Odom and Dessie Mae Casey Odom Mallard, and her step-father, the late, Dr. Alvin L. Mallard. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and the Discovery Sunday School Class. Survivors include her beloved husband of 61 years, William Stanley Hart; sons, William C. Hart and wife Karen of Suwanee, GA, Robert L. Hart and wife Ann I. of Marietta, GA, John Marcus Hart and wife Miriam C. of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, William Christopher Hart and Sarah Elizabeth Hart, both of Suwanee, GA, Lauren Ellen Barrios, Rebecca Louise Hart, and Elizabeth Ann Hart, all of New Orleans, LA, Benjamin Ernst Hart of Marietta, GA, Cassandra Hart Wasser of Spartanburg, SC, Katherine Mae Hart of Spartanburg; great-grandchildren, Emma Katherine Hart, Noah Christopher Hart, William Jonah Hart, Grant Medisto Barrios, Trinity Grace Wasser, Jacob Allen Wasser, and Akira Toyoko McNally. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Friday, April 27, 2012, at Morningside Baptist Church Welcome Center. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, in the church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kirk H. Neely. Private burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church Building Makeover, 897 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
