Louise Wood Fisher, 68, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born December 27, 1949 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late George Oliver and Bessie Yarborough Wood. Louise was a graduate of Winthrop College and University of South Carolina. She had worked at the SC School for Deaf & Blind, Washington Center in Greenville, Charles Lea Center, a retired administrator for McCarthy Teszler School and then an Adjunct Professor at Converse College. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was Chairman of SPRC, member of the church choir, and the Dot Lyles circle. She loved playing bridge, pinochle, and was a volunteer at Mobile Meals. Survivors include her husband, Zan Keith Fisher; daughter, Kelli F. Wilson (Aaron) of Forest City, NC; son, Allen Keith Fisher (Tonya) of Mooresboro, NC; granddaughters, Jordan and Maggie Wilson; and brother, Joel Oliver Wood (Carol Pendell) of Greenwood, SC; nephew, Joel Christopher Wood (Jennifer) of Greenwood, SC; ; sister in law, Frances Loudon of Spartanburg, SC; and her beloved furbaby, Duncan. She was predeceased by a brother, George Henry Wood. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Friday, July 6, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 626 Norwood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302, conducted by the Rev. Neal Woods. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Trinity United Methodist Church, Music Department, 626 Norwood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
