Mary Louise Deal Davis "MaMa", 100, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born March 18, 1917, in Hickory, NC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Osborne Deal and Mary Ella Butler Deal and widow of Paul Leonard Davis. A graduate of Spartanburg High School, Mrs. Davis was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Survivors include her daughter, Diane Davis Tapp of Boiling Springs, SC; five grandchildren, Kevin Joe Tapp and wife Scarlette Bennett Tapp, Michael Blaine Corn and wife Jami Fowler Corn, Stephen Paul Corn and wife Shanna Alexander Corn, Julie Tapp Horton and husband Chris Horton, and Christian Davis Tapp and wife Elizabeth Celeste Tapp; six great-grandchildren, Amelia Blaine Corn, Cameron Bennett Tapp, Lucas William Tapp, Kelly Dianne Nicholls, Christian Davis Tapp II, and Jon Parker Tapp. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Davis Corn and Walter Blaine Corn; sisters, Naomi D. Wingo and Alma D. Myers; and brother, Grayson Deal. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 pm Monday, August 28, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David Moore. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
