Louise Cooke

Louise Walker Cooke, 88, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Sunday, January 8, 2017 at her home. Born April 9, 1928, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Roy Robert and Clara Turner Walker. She was the widow of Chester Allen Cooke, Sr. Louise was in the sewing industry for 70 years. Survivors include a grandson, Jeff Cooke of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughter, Dana Marie Cooke of Spartanburg, SC; and sisters, Catherine Fowler, Mary Watts, Francis Corley, and Shirley Davis. She was also predeceased by brothers, Samuel Walker and Robert Walker; and a son, Chester Allen Cooke, Jr. Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Pastor Mitchel Edge. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
