Louise Clary

Myrtis Louise Camp Clary, 89, of Cowpens, SC, beloved wife for 68 years of Thomas P. Clary, Sr., died Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at her home. Born January 4, 1927, in Gaffney, SC, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Daisy Mae Jones Camp. Mrs. Clary was a great cook and an even greater Nanny. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband, kids, and grandkids. She retired from the SC Employment Service in Spartanburg after 39 years of service. A graduate of Gaffney High School Class of 1944, she taught water aerobics at the swim center and was an active member of the See-Saw Square Dancing Club. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Cowpens, the Esther Sunday School Class, and a choir member. In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughter, Luanne Clary Bogan of Cowpens, SC; son, Thomas Paul Clary, Jr. of Cowpens, SC; daughter-in-law, Norma Mathis Clary of Gaffney, SC; grandchildren, Codey Boone (Heath) and Brantley Bogan, all of Cowpens, SC, Hanah Hall (Jason) of Gaffney, SC, and Thomas Paul Clary, III (Haley) of Green Cove Springs, FL; and great-granddaughter, Harper Boone. Visitation will be 2:00-3:45 PM Friday, January 29, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Bill Westafer and the Rev. Larry Reeves. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
