Louis Robert Sullivan

Louis Robert Sullivan (1940-2023), known by everyone as Robert, passed away on July 8, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was a devoted husband of 63 years and a beloved father. Born on September 13, 1940, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Boyd and Bonnie Sullivan. He also had a sister named Betty Fain who predeceased him.
Robert dedicated a significant portion of his life to hard work and dedication. He was employed by Kohler Company for many years and even retired from there three times over the course of his career. In the past five years, he found fulfillment working at Creekside Golf Course.
Above all else, Robert cherished his role as a husband and father. He shared an unbreakable bond with his wife, Sarah "Diane" Keeter Sullivan. Together they built a life filled with love and support. Their daughter, Sharon Denise Sullivan, was the light of their lives and brought immeasurable joy into their home.
In addition to his immediate family, Robert is survived by his brother, Joe (Barbara) Sullivan of Boiling Springs. He also leaves behind nieces, Brenda Sullivan, and Kathy Allen, as well as nephews, Eddie “Bo” Sullivan and Darrell Fain. The love and memories they shared will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
The funeral services for Robert will take place at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel located at 2075 E Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM on July 12, 2023. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM at the same location. The burial ceremony will then take place at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens- Spartanburg located at 1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307, starting at 2:00 PM.  Dr. Keith Phillips and Pastor David Moore will officiate.
Robert will be remembered for his hard work, dedication, and the love he shared with his family. His impact on their lives will continue to resonate for generations to come. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
