Louis Stubblefield Sr.

Louis Donald Stubblefield Sr., 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, February 14, 2016, at White Oak Manor. Born April 3, 1931, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mary Sentel Stubblefield and husband of the late Thelma "Nell" Evans Stubblefield. Mr. Stubblefield, a retired supervisor with Drayton Mills, was a member of Drayton Baptist Church and an avid sports fan. He loved his family. Survivors include his son, Michael T. Stubblefield of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Jackie Yu of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Michael, Seth, Dusty, Shaun, Carmen, Candice, Andrew and Lindsey and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a son, Louis Donald Stubblefield Jr.; daughter, Tammi S. Henderson; and brothers, Raymond, Ralph, and Gene Stubblefield. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM on Friday, February 19, 2016, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 2817 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, with services following at 2:00 PM at the church conducted by the Rev. Keith Davis and the Rev. Michael Stubblefield. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to White Oak Manor-Spartanburg, 295 East Pearl Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or Hospice Care of South Carolina, 9101 Asheville Highway, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
