Lorraine Millwood

Lorraine Frances Nolen Millwood, 97, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at her home. Born February 14, 1917, in Florence, AL. She was the daughter of the late Carl J. and Esther Bagwell Nolen, and widow of Paul B. Millwood. Mrs. Millwood loved her Lord, her family, and her church. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and retired from Mayfair Mills after 35 years of service. Survivors include her son, Douglas Millwood (Shirley) of Inman; daughter, Anne Garner (Robbie) of Moore; grandchildren, Richard Brock, Christine Clavenna, Jamie Garner, Joel Garner, Allison Millwood, Angie Duncan, Kim Beckworth, and Carla Pfirman; great-great-grandchildren, Wesley Garner, Katelyn Garner, Jamie Garner, Tyler Davis, Nicholas Clavenna, Anna Duncan, Hope Duncan, Sam and Katie Beckworth; son-in-law, Billy Wood of Covington, GA; and sister, Elizabeth Hambright of Blacksburg, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Betty Wood; grandson, Kevin Wood; brother, Thomas Nolen; and sister, Caroline Henderson. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Chad Bowen and eulogist, Mrs. Myra Gilbert.
