Loretta Goins

Loretta Goins, 74, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, November 18, 2013, at her home. Born April 25, 1939, in Charleston, WV, she was the daughter of the late Waldo Merle and Helen Delores Garretson Goodwin, and widow of Thomas Ray Goins. A graduate of East Bank High School, Mrs. Goins was a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church, Boiling Springs, SC, and retired from MEMC Corporation. Surviving are her children, Thomas Ray "Rusty" Goins, Jr. (Debra S.), Debra D. Goins, Tammy Goins Farmer (Brian), and Shellie Goins Starck (Philip); grandchildren, Gabriel Goins, Heather Farmer, Damon Ray Goins, Tyler Goins, Christina Starck; great-grandchildren, Daniel Goins and CeCe Goins; sisters and brother, Vera Jean "Sissy" Howell, Judy Norris, Joyce Goodwin Carter, Donna Mae Burnett, and Allan Ray Goodwin. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Waldo Merle Goodwin, Jr. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Thursday, November 21, 2013, at New Beginnings United Methodist Church, 210 Rainbow Lake Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Terry Flemming. In West Virginia - Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 12:45 PM Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, 8706 California Ave., Marmet, WV 25315. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Montgomery Memorial Park, 9619 E. Dupont Ave., London, WV 25126.
