Lorena Mitchell

Lorena Parker Mitchell, 97, of Spartanburg, died Friday, January 1, 2021, at Eden Terrace Assisted Living Center. She was born November 1, 1923 in Wray, GA, a daughter to the late Roy and Selma Troupe Parker. Lorena was a member of Fernwood Baptist Church and was married to the late Ralph G. Mitchell. She enjoyed being a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution, The Spartanburg Women's Club and the Garden Club, when she lived in Columbia, SC. Surviving are a son, Sid Mitchell (Dawn) of The Villages, FL; grandsons, Ashley Mitchell of Fairfax, VA and Corey Mitchell (Amy) of Easley, SC; and great-granddaughters, Kathryn Mitchell of Spartanburg, Emily, Anna and Clara Mitchell of Easley. Lorena was predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Anita Mitchell. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. George McDowell. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
