Lonnie Baxter Johnson, 73, of 109 Derrick Road, died Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born February 7, 1936, in Marshall, NC, he was the son of the late Carl and Minnie Randall Johnson. He was a carpenter with Fiske-Carter Construction and Roebuck Buildings Company and a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Fannie West Johnson; two daughters, Crystal J. Simmons and her husband Jerry, and Dale J. Keisler and her husband Neil, all of Pauline; three grandchildren, Marissa and Kristin Keisler, and Wes Simmons; two brothers, Jasper Johnson and Grover Johnson, both of Glenn Springs; and two sisters, Annie Lou Gore of Pacolet, and Nora Lee Johnson of Gastonia, NC. He was predeceased by a sister, Nettie Mae Johnson; and three brothers, James, Robah, and Joe Johnson. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Henry Johnson and the Rev. Jerry Ford. Burial will be in West Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
