Lonnie Graham

Lonnie William Graham, 96, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, May 30, 2014, at Woodruff Manor. Born January 14, 1918, in Dunklin County, Missouri, he was the son of the late Philip Andrew and Littie Mitchell Graham and husband of the late Ruth Elizabeth Puette "Dibba" Graham. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he was awarded a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. Mr. Graham was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. He loved to garden and was retired from Southern Railway. Surviving are his daughters, Rosemary Shealy (Doyle) of Moore, SC, and Jeanne Harrelson (Ken) of Spartanburg, SC; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Arthur "Buck" Graham of Colorado Springs, CO, and Don Graham of St. Louis, MO. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service, with military rites by American Legion Post #28, will follow at 3:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Mr. Ken Harrelson, Mr. Doyle Shealy, and Mrs. Rosemary Shealy.
