Lois Wood

Lois Jane "Janie" Wood, 85, of Massena, NY and N. Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away peacefully in Spartanburg, SC on Sunday, October 25, 2015. Born in Massena in 1929, she was the daughter of the late Wayne Xavier and Edith Reed Sutter. A loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother, volunteer, and friend to many, Janie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles "Chuck" W. Wood; brother, Reed Sutter of Fox Island, WA; daughter, Leslie Wood-Griffin of Spartanburg, SC; sons and daughters-in-law, John & Ann Wood of Kingsville, ONT, and Bill & Eileen Wood of Lexington, MA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren all of whom she adored and that love her deeply. A service will be held in the spring of '16 in Massena, NY to celebrate Janie's life. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Massena Meals on Wheels, 70 East Hatfield Street, Massena, NY 13662 would be a wish of Lois's.
