Lois Thomas

Lois Martin Thomas, 96, of 326 Dakota Street, died June 5, 2011 at Magnolia Manor. Born July 22, 1914 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Von Dearl and Nettie Ridings Martin and wife of the late Ralph N. Thomas. She was retired from Springs Industries and attended Pinewood Baptist Church. Survivors include her sisters, Tena Sawyer of Campobello and Judy Price of California; her brothers, J. D. Martin of Virginia and Jerry Martin of California. She was predeceased by sisters, Beulah Ballew and Ruby Whitworth; brothers, Howard Martin, Dewey Martin, and Ralph Martin. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Arrowood Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Tim Stephens. Memorials may be made to Pinewood Baptist Church, 331 Dakota Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at their respective homes.
