Lois Pilkington

February 18, 1915 — September 10, 2012

Lois Evelyn Cannon Pilkington, 97, of Spartanburg, died Monday, September 10, 2012, at her home. Born February 18, 1915, she was a native of Spartanburg, the widow of Nathan Boone Pilkington, and daughter of the late George Anderson and Mamie E. Zimmerman Cannon. Mrs. Pilkington was a lifelong member of Clifton Second Baptist Church and a member of the choir. She also worked for a number of years for W. O. Powell Grocery. Survivors are special nieces and nephews who loved her very much. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Irene Zimmerman, Helen Zimmerman, and Rosa Lee Smith. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2012, in Greenlawn Memorial Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, by Chaplain Dean Cortese. Visitation will follow at the cryptside. Very special thanks to her loving caregivers for all their love and care. A special thanks is also extended to all the staff at Amedisys Hospice Care for their help and visits during this difficult time. The family is at their respective homes.
