Lois Mittag

Lois Gibson Mittag, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, October 22, 2015. Born October 26, 1932, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Forrest Wylie Gibson and Ethel Mae Millwood Gibson. She was retired from Glendale Mills and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her children, Kay Weeks of Spartanburg, SC, Jean Mittag of Glendale, SC, Debra Price and Marie Stewart, both of Spartanburg, SC, and George Mittag of Pelzer, SC; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Gibson and Ila Gossett, both of Glendale, SC, and Irene Kirby of Converse, SC. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Pat Fila; sister, Helen Fleming; and brother, Roy Gibson. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Craig Price. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, Clifton-Glendale Rd., Glendale, SC 29346.
