Lois Lane, 79, of Cowpens, died Sunday, October 14, 2012, at her home. Born June 12, 1933, in Darlington, SC, she was the widow of Floyd L. Lane, Sr. and daughter of the late Troy James and Georgie Annabelle Brown James. Lois was a native of Darlington, SC, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Cowpens. She was the owner/operator of Family Day Care in Cowpens where she was known as Ma-Ma Lane to the many children she cared for. Surviving are her children, Marie Hodges of Inman, SC, and Floyd (Len) Lane of the home; grandchildren, Shawn Petras and wife Misty of Boiling Springs, SC, Sommer Kitchin and husband Kevin of Spartanburg, SC, and Autumn Steadings and husband Josh of Boiling Springs, SC; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Petras, Kylan Petras, Cameron Hughes, Morgan Hughes, Neylan Kitchin, Nolan Kitchin, Ainsley Steadings, and Camryn Steadings; brother, Cecil James of Darlington, SC; and sister, Anna Lee Sneed of Griffin, GA. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Ollie Mae Wilson. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Calvary Baptist Church, Cowpens, by the Rev. Henry Coley. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
